Now Is The Time To Be Strong

It is time to be strong, no matter what you are going through.

Do not give in to your fears or worries and shut down. Burying your face in a pillow and crying yourself to sleep no longer serves you. That self-defeatist mentality had its place in the past, but now it’s time to be proactive. Shit happens. We all make bad decisions and have unforeseen circumstances knock at our door. Do you think you are the only one in this world that had a string of bad luck? Maybe your hard times lasted a few months or even your whole life. Now what? It seems like you have acknowledged these treacherous happenings over and over again. I believe that you need change in your life, and this is the wakeup call!

I wish I had a penny for every negative thought I focused on, because I would be rich by now. Why do people continue to concentrate on their negative feelings and wonder why they’re not happy? I am the first to admit that I am guilty of this grievous offense. Is it safe for our minds to tell us the same story repetitively, as if we are programming ourselves for failure and sadness? You would think we would get sick of that tune! I am not good enough! I am stupid! Are you kidding me? Is this truly the scenario that you want to live in?

When you are in a dark place, you believe that you are buried, but perhaps you are planted. What if every hard time is bringing you closer to your destiny? As hard as that seems to comprehend, maybe it’s true? I am here to tell you that you grow through what you go through. This situation and these awful years are temporary. Find a new way to approach your issues with a positive learning outlook.

Doesn’t it feel better to smile, to laugh, and to find the good in any situation? I know it feels like you are almost betraying the hard times by finding joy through it, but you’re not! You are flipping the outcome of a negative situation and being proactive to find peace and happiness in your life. Being a realist is not seeing the downside to something. That is being a Debbie Downer, a Negative Nancy. It’s not your fate to find fault or blame or to carry hate. Let it go!

I tend to believe that miracles happen when we start to feed into our dreams instead of our fears. I am not diminishing your horrible circumstances. I have been there. I am still there struggling, but I am making a conscious effort not to waste my energy on being sad and hopeless. I am not blaming others for my current environment. I am taking responsibility and educating myself to be a better human being! I am finding the good, even when there seems to be none.

Please get out of bed, find a reason to help someone, and start by helping yourself. Your problems may not disappear in a day or even a year, but you can choose to see sunshine on a rainy day. How long are we on this planet? How many days and nights can you feed into being angry, sad, hurt, overwhelmed, and stressed out? Find that place in the back of your mind to dream about yourself in the first person. See the life you want to live without the obstacles and fight for it!

You are brave, You are strong, and you are a warrior through tough times. Do not give up on the eve of your miracle! I know someone needs to hear this today. You are enough! You can get through this! Get up, get going, and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Your life is a gift, today is a gift, and you belong here. Open your eyes and find the learning experience through all of this and trust that it is making you evolve into the person you are meant to be. I believe in you, regardless of the situation and circumstances that have afflicted you. You will get through this—open your heart to new opportunities coming from bad happenings.

It is time to be strong, no matter what you are going through.
